Who We Are

Behin is a private research institute in economic and finance approved in 2011 by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran. The primary focus of this institute are designing and implementing applied research in area of economic and finance.

SOME OF OUR PROJECTS

Measuring Productivity of Qazvin Province: Measuring real value added, capital stock, employment and productivity of major economic activities of Qazvin province (2005-2014)

The aim of this study is to measure the total factor and partial productivity indexes of Qazvin province in Iran over 2005-2014. For this purpose, we initially calculated the real value added time series of the province and its main activities for the time period considered. In addition, due to the lack of capital stock data, in this study, the time series of these data were estimated for the whole of the province and its main activities at current and constant prices. Also, the time series of employment for those activities were estimated.

Measuring Productivity of Tavanir Company and its subsidiaries in accordance with the manual of the National Organization of Productivity

The major domestic supplier of electricity in Iran is Tavanir Company. Tavanir is an organization for management of electric power generation and transmission and the responsibilities of deputy minister for Power affairs. This company is responsible for the management of 16 regional electric companies, 32 generation management companies and 42 distribution companies. The aim of this study is to measure productivity indexes of this company and its subsidiaries in different level over the years of 2011 to 2016 according to the manual of the national organization of productivity.

Providing Compilation of Sub-Regional Accounts for Alborz Province (1390-1394)

Sub-regional accounts are deemed important tools in the process of planning, budgeting and public auditing.  This project provides the Sub-regional accounts of Alborz province for the years of 2011-2015.

Measuring productivity for Iran Water Resources Management Company

Iran’s Water Resources Management Company is an organization of the Ministry of Energy which is responsible for enforcing its policies and rules related to water resources The general aim of this study is providing a operational framework on the basis of the Excel software to measure the productivity indexes for this company by using a consolidated data-set of the company and its subsidiaries.
